WELCOME – ABOUT US
Kampeervereniging de Leek (Camping association De Leek) is a small and quiet campsite between Broek in Waterland and Monnickendam, just north of Amsterdam, with a number of fixed-mobile home sites for members only. From April to October we welcome individual campers and groups to stay with us.
The campsite is situated on the waterfront between nature and offers the opportunities to swim in the lake De Leek, to go canoeing, hiking or cycling through the peat meadows of Waterland and to the historic fishing villages on the IJsselmeer. In the vicinity bicycles, canoes and (electric) boats are available to rent. Amsterdam is by car, bicycle and bus easily accessible.
The site has only very simple facilities. So there is no canteen, no camp store, no wi-fi and no electricity supply at the campsites, but the site does have a number of toilets, and shower cabins with hot and cold running water. For small campervans there is very limited space (because of the peat soil), so please inquire in advance.
For active campers who love peace and nature, camping De Leek offers a lovely place and perfect base to go exploring from. Whether you come alone, with your family or with a larger group, you are welcome! Please let us know in advance if you want to visit us.

We are situated just North of Amsterdam, between Broek in Waterland and Monnickendam. You can reach us by car, by bus from Amsterdam Central Station, or by bicycle from Amsterdam.
By bike from Amsterdam Central Station (about 50 min. / nice route):
At rearside Central Station take the Buiksloterferry to the Buiksloterweg. On the over side drive onto the Buiksloterweg. After 300 meters (at café Ot and Sien) turn right (also called Buiksloterweg). Follow the canal until you reach the old wooden village Buiksloten. Follow the signs Broek in Waterland. In Broek in Waterland take the bridge over the canal, and turn left onto Havenrak. Enjoy the beautiful waterfront. At the end of Havenrak turn right at the church onto Keerngouw (the road makes two turns but goes straight into the fields). After 500 meters, at the T-junction in the fields, turn left onto Overlekergouw. After 1.5 km you reach the campsite.
By car from Amsterdam (about 25 min.):
Take the A10 Amsterdam ring road – left or right.
Take on the north side of Amsterdam exit Volendam N247.
At end of exit turn right onto the N247.
Take in the village of Broek in Waterland from the N247, at the sorting strip, the second left into the village (Nieuwland).
At the end at the T-junction, turn right onto Keerngouw, the road makes two bends but leads actually straight out of the village.
At the end (in the fields) at the T-junction turn left onto Overlekergouw, follow the road untill you reach the campsite.
By bus from Amsterdam:
(incl. walking about 50 min.)Amsterdam Central Station / busstop CS IJside) Take one of the following lines: – Bus 118 direction Purmerend Tramplein- Bus 311 direction Marken- Bus 315 direction Monnickendam Get off at bus stop Dorp (Village) – Broek in Waterland. Walk to the Overlekergouw (30 min) See below.
Walking from busstop – Dorp (Village) – Broek in Waterland:
(about 30 min. / nice walk)
If you arrive from Amsterdam: first cross the provincial road (use the tunnel).
Walk left behind the bus stop onto Havenrak (Waterfront Road).
Enjoy the beautiful historic harbour front with wooden houses.
At the end turn right at the church onto Keerngouw (the road makes two turns but goes straight out into the fields).
After 500 mtr. at the T-junction in the fields, turn left onto Overlekergouw.
Follow the road (1.5 km) till you reach the campsite.
